BOB YOUNG
Bob Young was the fifth unofficial member of
Status Quo . From the beginning Bob was with the group composing
a lot of songs with the rest of the members , being a roadie , a road manager
, a promoter , Harmonica player ... but mainly a really good
friend and an important part of the band. Around 1981 he decides
to leave the group. He has collaborated with the John Coghlan´s
Diesel Band from the beginning till the end of the band andworked
like a manager with The Bombers ( the group of Alan Lancaster) among others.
He has some albums in the market like "In The Quo Country" in which he
sings some songs from Quo , and some albums with Mickey Moody , ex
- Whitesnake (also member of the John Coghlan´s Diesel Band ) under
the name of "Young And Moody" . He has wrote some interesting books
like"Again And Again" ( With John Shearlaw - Status Quo history -
1981 ) , "The Language Of Rock And Roll" with Micky Moody and a book
of poetry entitled "Alias The Compass" in 1978 .

ANDY BOWN
From the Peter Frampton group Heard , Bown
played the piano for the first time for Quo on the album "Hello!" (1973)
. At the end of 1974 he helps the band to record some keyboard parts
for the "On the level" album and joined the group in 1976 after the
recording of "Blue For You" . Andy began to co - write songs with the band
around 1977 . His first collaboration like a writer was included
on the 1978 album "If You Can´t Stand The Heat" . In
1982 Quo celebrate their 20 years together and the band decide
to incluide
to Andy like an official member .He is still
in the New Quo line -up , he has some solo albums and he has played
with many people like Peter Frampton , Jerry Lee Lewis , Pink Floyd , Graham
Bonnet , Roger Waters , Vardis , The Herd , Judas Jump , Jerry Lee
Lewis , Mike Hugg , John Du Cann , Wendy James , Chris Jagger ,Tim Hardin
, The Preachers (group of the mid sixties!) , Lesley Duncan , etc.....

Since 1981 Andy Bown has composed a lot of
Quo songs , many of them like a main writer (specially in the
last albums).
ROY LYNES
He was the first official keyboard of Quo . From the Beatle -Psychodelic era of the band , he recorded the three first albums and the first singles they recorded under different names such as Traffic Jam or The Spectres. Around 1970 he decides to get married and leave the band . He´s still married with the same woman!!

BERNARD FROST
Although Frost doesn´t start to appear like a writer until 1978 , Rossi knew him around 1970 and they started to compose songs in those years ( their first song was "Naughty Girl" later re - called "Dreamin´" and included on the "In the Army Now" album from 1986 ) . Bernard Frost composed a lot of songs with his mate Francis Rossi . Around 1980 they planned to edit an album together called "Flying Debris" but it never has been released. In 1985 they edit two singles under the name of "Rossi / Frost" : "Modern Romance" and "Jealousy" (the same song from "1982" album ) both composed by them . "Modern Romance had as B - Side , the song "I Wonder Why" planned to be the B side of "Too Close To The Groung" from "Back To Back" Album (1983) and later released in May 85 which made number 54 in the charts . In April 1974 on the Quo label Vertigo (Phonogram) Bernie Frost released a single where played Rossi , Parfitt and Coghlan titled "The House" with the song "What Do You Want To Hear Today" as a B side.

Other friends of the band who have collaborated closely with Quo members in some compositions are Jackie Lynton (with Rick Parfitt) , Keith Lamb (with Alan Lancaster) and the producer Pip Williams (with his partner Hutchins and with Rick Parfitt ) .
